WARNING!
Variations in chemical behavior during handling due to factors such as temperature, pressure, and concentration can cause equipment to fail, even though it passed an initial test.

Serious Injury May Result
Use proper guards, safety equipment, and/or personal protections when handling chemicals.

Selection of Materials
Many factors can affect the chemical resistance of plastics. These include, but are not limited to, exposure time, extremes of temperature and pressure, frequency of temperature and/or pressure cycling, attrition due to abrasive particles, and the type of mechanical stress imposed. The fact that certain combinations of chemicals and mechanical load can induce stress cracking in many otherwise chemically resistant materials, both metallic and nonmetallic, is of particular significance. The chemical/temperature ratings presented are based on well-processed or well fabricated test specimens being essentially resistant to either chemical attack and/or severe swelling which would normally impair their performance under moderate mechanical stresses. The ratings given on this web page are a guide and do not constitute a warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, with respect to the performance of the materials Spectrom Pump Parts offers in any specific application.
